  • Exception Reporting

    Hey gang-

I've been using Navicat for about a year writing mostly queries for our MSSQL database. I'd like to setup some automated notifications using the scheduler but I'm not sure how best to do it, I'm hoping you all can help.

In the end, I'll have various queries running periodically checking for different errors in our work. This can be done easily enough using the scheduler but I only want emails to kick when the query has a result, indicating something is wrong. This is generally called "exception-based reporting" but I haven't found anything in the forum or Wiki discussing this, which surprises me.

What's the ideal way to set this up? Navicat 10`s scheduler is much easier to use than the old method, but I don't see the settings I'm after. Any pointers are appreciated.

I am sorry that Navicat does not support your mentioned feature. Your request has been forwarded to our development team. We will keep improving Navicat in future.
