  • Migrating from SQL Server to Oracle

We're going to be migrating from a SQL Server database to Oracle. Would we need Navicat Premium to transfer data from SQL Server to Oracle, or would Navicat for Oracle be able to do that?

We will like to introduce another product to you - Navicat Premium. Navicat Premium is a multi-connections database administration tool allowing you to connect to MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL databases simultaneously within a single application, making database administration to multiple kinds of database so easy. Navicat Premium combines the functions of other Navicat members. With connections established to different database types, Navicat Premium supports data transfer between MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL. It supports most of the features in MySQL, SQLite, SQL Server, Oracle and PostgreSQL including Stored Procedure, Event, Trigger, Function, View, etc.

The 30-day trial version which is the fully functional Enterprise Edition. The selection of Navicat version is depending on the operating system you are using. For example, you can use the Windows version if you work on Windows platform but connect to a server which is located in Windows, Mac and Linux platform. Please note that Linux version does not support SQL Server.

You can try the Data Transfer to copy table with data from SQL Server 2008 to Oracle, please try it. You can refer to the following video:
