  • Update to v12.1.23 appears to have broken connections to SQL Server 2005

Last week I updated Navicat to v12.1.23 but could no longer connect to our older SQL Server 2005 systems. I was able to connect to SQL Server 2017 with no problem. After rolling back to v12.1.22 I was able to connect again.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Please provide the dump log of your connection. To enable the dump log, please change the "Host" field in the "General" tab of the Connection window (control-click your connection and choose Edit Connection) from the server IP to

    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;DebugFlags=0x4fff;DumpFile=/Users/<username>/Desktop/SQLServer.log

(Replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the server IP and <username> with your Mac's username)

Then, please try to connect again and wait for the error message to come up. The dump log "SQLServer.log" will be found in your Desktop and please send it to us at - https://help.navicat.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
