    The error that I receive is:

    It is resolved by starting Navicat like this:
    Code:
    C:\Program Files\PremiumSoft\Navicat Premium 12\navicat.exe /?
    I'm guessing that the /? addition could be anything. The result is that there is no splash screen on startup (it takes a bit to start), but it doesn't crash.

    The error message may be indicated that your OS user profile corrupted. For more information, you can refer to this link - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...d70f749?auth=1

    Also, you can try to set the navicat.exe file's Properties to run as administrator (Right-click Navicat and select Properties > Compatibility tab, check the option "Run this program as an administrator").

      It is strange that I haven't received notification about your reply, sorry about that.

      The problem turned out to be an Updater folder and a downloaded update zip file in the folder where the logs and profile folders are located. I deleted them and it started working. There was also another symptom - when checking for updates the error message was "The server encountered a problem and cannot continue: None", which led me to suspect the updater to be the root cause.
